  Even Nature Worships

From My Heart

I look through my kitchen window each day,
seeking, as I always do-
All the signs of God’s presence
in the soul-stirring scene that I view.

It never ceases to amaze me
that His presence is everywhere.
The Easter Lilies are radiant-
postural, as though in prayer.

They are programmed to bloom at Easter,
then close for another year.
Their role is to glorify the Savior-
then silently disappear.

Springtime is a season
of new life with a goal.
New leaves are forming, flowers are budding-
there is a stirring in my soul.

I read an interesting quote this week by Max Lucado that I would like to share with you.

“Next time a sunrise steals your breath, or a meadow of flower leaves you speechless, remain that way and say nothing, and listenas Heaven whispers, “Do you like it?  I did it just for You,”

The Fox and Hound Chase

I have to smile as I reminisce
about my “high school days”-
So many memories of good times and bad,
of friends, exams, and plays.

My transportation in those days
was a boy’s two-wheel bike-
It served me well for many years-
no choice but to ride or hike!

I planned a “Fox and Hound Chase”-
I was the Fox, naturally.
The plan was to ride ahead and post my signs-
clues of where I might be.

I had to be fast with the “hounds” on my trail-
I was having so much fun.
My plan was to be the first at the park-
After the chase I had won!

After posting my “CLUES”
and enjoying my fantasy-
Who won the chase?
It was not ME

The designated area for the big event
was Metropolitan Park-
where all the kids went!

We were to have a picnic-
and play baseball for fun.
But the secret got out-
to my chagrin- the hounds won!

By the time I arrived at the park,
the game was well under way.
Everyone laughed as I wandered in
and joined in the play!

Ah, but chivalry rose to
the forefront by far-
as the “Hounds” insisted
I ride home in their car!

Friendship

Why do we seem drawn to certain people?
Isn’t it difficult to explain?
The chemistry is different-
but the bonding is the same.

We are God’s creation-
I know He had a plan..
With His Holy Spirit
He relates Himself to man.

He guides us in a mysterious way-
He truly knows what’s best.
Sometimes we blunder through and wonder,
“Lord, is this a test?”

God truly wants the best for us-
The battle has already been won.
All the Lord is endeavoring to do
Is conform us to the image of His Son.

When we meet a fellow Christian,
There is a meeting of the heart.
There is an immediate “bonding”-
A fellowship set apart.

If you have yet to meet our Savior-
Don’t waste another minute
Open up your heart to Him
and ask Him to come in it!

P.S. In your Golden Chain of Friendship,
Will you please count me a link?

What Do YOU Call Him

Oh, my Lord, my God, my Savior, my Friend-
Blessed Redeemer, you will abide to the end.
(Mark 8:27, 29)

How I wish conditions had been different.
that Christ had been glorified.
After all, it is His birth we celebrate.
It is in Him we choose to abide.

It is more blessed to give than to receive-
I confess it was not always this way.
As a child, my thoughts were full of fantasy-
It was all about Santa and his sleigh.

My spiritual eyes were opened as I aged.
I became aware of the presence of God.
Why are parents reluctant to discuss Christ?
I find that truly odd.

That God humbled Himself and came to earth as a child-
I am sincerely awed!
Dear Jesus, it is Your birth we celebrate.
“Happy Birthday. dear Lord, my God!

You Are a Star

Being good isn't good enough
to meet another's expectations-
I'll be the best I can be,
But I have to be ME-
What do you see in YOUR reflections?

God created us just as we are-
He had a plan, don't you see.
In His plan for your life,
You are a STAR!,
But I will still remain Me!

Oh, but God has a plan for all of us-
even though we can't all have top billing.
On the "Stage of Life" we all have a part-
To serve takes a heart that is willing!

God, Himself, came to seek and to save-
What an example He set for you and me-
Lay down your life for your fellow man,
We are here to love and serve all humanity.

1 Samuel 7:3, 12:14 “Thou shall fear the Lord and serve Him.

The answer is in our attitude-
is how we view our life.
Do you let small things bother you?
That only leads to strife!
The proof is "in the pudding".
It doesn't happen overnight.
I, too, let things bother me-
That's why my hair is white!
Why did it take so long, Lord,
to recognize the need?
The Bible has the answers.
It is Your Word we need to read.
We all treasure love letters-
Their words we hide in our heart.
The Bible is God's love letter to us.
From His love He will never depart!

Deuteronomy 4:31 “For the Lord, thy God, is a merciful God. He will not forsake thee nor destroy thee.”

1 Chronicles 28:20 “And David said to Solomon, his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it.Fear not, nor be dismayed, for the Lord God, even my God will be with thee; He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord.”

Hebrews 13:5 “Let your manner of life be without covetousness, and be content with such things as ye have, for He hath said, I will never leave you or forsake you.”

P.S.  God honors His word even above His name.

If you have compassion for the homeless,
and charity is on your mind-
You are enrolled in God's army,
called "The Army of the Kind".

To an animal lover
a homeless animal is a cause of great concern.
All animals need our loving care,
our affection they want to earn.

At the moment, I feel like a recruiter-
Won't you please "step up to the plate?"
Do your best to fill a need, my friend,
before it is too late.

Join the army of people who care-
Open your heart to the homeless everywhere.
A kitten's purr will touch your soul
Let rescuing God's creatures be your goal.

             Animal facts:
Cats have overtaken dogs as the Number One pet in
the United States.

Cats do a better job of lowering stress and blood pressure-and purring may have a lot to do with that.
All from a simple stroke of a feline fur.

Hiding Behind My Exterior

The young woman in me came out to express herself.
We bantered back and forth over issues "put on the shelf".
"You need to "lighten up", she said-
Let me have free reign.
I'll put a smile back on your face.
You'll forget about your pain.
Laughter is the best medicine-
and it won't cost you a thing.
It's actually infectious, you know-
Amazing what it will bring.
Instead of being philosophical,
always expressing your point of view-
Dwell on things that bring a smile
You'll be a younger YOU!"
❥ ❥ ❥ ❥ ❥ ❥ ❥ ❥ ❥ ❥ ❥ ❥ ❥ ❥ ❥ ❥
So, I'll leave it up to you, dear friends-
I'm  truly not deranged.
I had a little talk with the Lord, you see-
Because of Him, I've changed.

Proverbs 17:22  “A merry heart doeth good like medicine.”

Proverbs 15:13 “A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance.”

Eccl. 8:15 “Nothing better than to eat and be merry.”

P.S.  I am too blessed to complain!

My Take

DiVoran Lites

DiVoran Lites

Noah, Noah, whither go-a?

Did you want to build that boat,

Take in kangaroos and horses,

Settle with a longhaired goat?

Who sleeps in your bed between you?

Who crows when the sun shines through?

Noah, Noah, soon the water

Will evaporate like dew.

See the rainbow in the sky there,

Red, blue, green—oh, every hue,

It means God will take care of us.

He’ll make all things fresh and new.

Oh, the nostalgia of memories of long ago-
of friendships formed in church groups
that set our heart aglow.

Friends are one of life’s richest blessings-
the fellowship warms our heart.
We need people to share our hopes and fears-
a family set apart.

Life, like a church supper,.
offers a variety of temptations to succumb-
But, like the preacher always stood up to say,
Hold on to your fork, folks-
the best is yet to come”!
