Proverbs 1:33

But the one who always listens to me will live undisturbed in a heavenly peace,

Free from fear, confident, and courageous, you will rest unafraid and sheltered during the storms of life.

DiVoran has been writing for most of her life. Her first attempt at a story was when she was seven years old and her mother got a new typewriter. DiVoran got to use it and when her dad saw her writing he asked what she was writing about. DiVoran answered that she was writing the story of her life. Her dad’s only comment was, “Well, it’s going to be a very short story.” After most of a lifetime of writing and helping other writers, DiVoran finally launched her own dream which was to write a novel of her own. She now has her Florida Springs trilogy and her novel, a Christian Western Romance, Go West available on Amazon. When speaking about her road to publication, she gives thanks to the Lord for all the people who helped her grow and learn.  She says, “I could never have done it by myself, but when I got going everything fell beautifully into place, and I was glad I had started on my dream.”

Psalm 149:5-6

His godly lovers triumph in the glory of God, and their joyful praises will rise even while others sleep. God’s high and holy praises fill their mouths, for their shouted praises are their weapons of war!

Proverbs  3:21-24

My child, never drift off course from

These two goals for your life:

To walk in wisdom and to discover discernment.

Don’t ever forget how they empower you.

For they strengthen you inside and out and inspire you to do what’s right,

You will be energized and refreshed by the healing they bring.

They give you living hope to guide you,

And not one of life’s tests will cause you to stumble.

You will sleep like a baby, safe and sound.

Your rest will be sweet and secure.

You will not be subject to terror, for it will not terrify you.

Nor will the disrespectful be able to push you aside,

Because God is your confidence in times of crisis, keeping your heart at rest in every situation.

Balaam, his Donkey, The Lord, The Angel of the Lord, and the Moabites

Numbers 23:22-35

As Balaam rode along on his donkey, accompanied by his two servants, the angel of the Lord stood on the road to bar his way.

When the donkey saw the angel holding a sword, it left the road and turned into the fields. Then Balaam beat the donkey and brought it back onto the road.

Then the angel stood where the road narrowed between two vineyards and had a stone wall on each side. When the donkeysaw the angel, it moved against the wall, crushing Balaam’s foot against it.

Again, Balaam beat the donkey.

Once more, the angel moved ahead.

This time, when the donkey saw the angel, it lay down. Balaam lost his temper and began to beat the donkey with his stick. Then the Lord gave the donkey the power of speech, and it said to Balaam.

“I have never done you wrong,

What have I done to you?

Why have you beaten me these three times?”

Balaam answered Because you have made a fool of me!

If I had a sword, I would kill you.

The donkey replied, “Am I  not the same donkey on which you have ridden all your life? Have I ever treated you like this before?

No, Balaam replies.

Then the Lord let Balaam see the angel standing there with his sword, and Balaam threw himself face downward on the ground.

The angel demanded. Why have you beaten your donkey three times? I have come to bar your way because you should not be making this journey.

Your donkey saw me and turned aside three times. If it hadn’t, I would have killed you and spared the donkey.

Balaam replied, I have sinned. I did not know you were standing on the road to oppose me; now, I will return home if you think it is wrong for me to go on.

The angel said, go on with these servants, but say only what I tell you to say. So Balaam went on with them.

Proverbs 2:10,11

True leisure enters your soul when wisdom wins your heart and revelation breaks in.

When you follow good counsel, divine design will watch over you, and understanding will protect you from making poor choices. It will rescue you from evil in disguise and those who speak duplicities.

Your extravagant kindness makes me want to follow your words even more!

Teach me how to make good decisions,

And give me revelation light, for I believe in your commands.

Before I was humbled, I always used to wander astray,

But now I see the wisdom of your words.

Everything you do is beautiful, flowing from your goodness;

Teach me the power of your wonderful words.

Psalm 116:4-7

I’ve learned from my experience.

That God protects the childlike and

Humble ones.

For I was broken and brought low,

But he answered me and came to my rescue!

Now, I can say to myself and all,

Relax and rest; be confident and serene.

The Lord fully rewards those who trust in him.

God has rescued my soul from death’s fear

And dried my eyes of human tears.
