Hebrews 5:14

Jesus, Our Compassionate King-Priest

So then, we must cling in faith to all we know to be true, for we have a magnificent King-Priest. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, rose into the heavenly realm for us and now sympathizes with us in our frailty. He understands humanity, for as a Man, our magnificent King-Priest was tempted in every way just as we are. So now we come freely and boldly to where love is enthroned, to receive mercy’s kiss and discover the grace we urgently need to strengthen us in our time of weakness.

DiVoran has been writing for most of her life. Her first attempt at a story was when she was seven years old and her mother got a new typewriter. DiVoran got to use it and when her dad saw her writing he asked what she was writing about. DiVoran answered that she was writing the story of her life. Her dad’s only comment was, “Well, it’s going to be a very short story.” After most of a lifetime of writing and helping other writers, DiVoran finally launched her own dream which was to write a novel of her own. She now has her Florida Springs trilogy and her novel, a Christian Western Romance, Go West available on Amazon. When speaking about her road to publication, she gives thanks to the Lord for all the people who helped her grow and learn.  She says, “I could never have done it by myself, but when I got going everything fell beautifully into place, and I was glad I had started on my dream.”

The Searcher of Our Heart

The Holy Spirit takes hold of us in our human frailty to empower us in our weakness.

For example, sometimes, we don’t know how to pray or the best thing to ask for.

But the Holy Spirit rises with us to super-intercedes on our behalf, pleading to God with emotional sighs too deep for words.

God, the searcher of the heart, knows fully our longings. Yet, he also understands the desires of the Spirit because the Holy Spirit passionately pleads before God for us, his holy ones, in perfect harmony with God’s plan and our destiny.

They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary: and they shall walk, and not faint.

Romans 12:6

The human body has many parts and organs, each with a unique function. And so it is in the body of Christ. Though we are many, we’ve all been mingled into one body in Christ. We are all vitally joined to one another, each contributing to the others.

Father, I accept that You love me with everlasting love and are drawing me closer to You with the chords of Your supernatural love, grace, and mercy. Your love for me is unshakable. It’s unchangeable. You will never forsake me, and You are with me to the ends of the earth. Thank You, Lord, that You have an eternal love for me that shall endure forever.

Jeremiah 31:3 I have loved you with an everlasting love. Therefore, with loving kindness, I have drawn you.

We Are His True Children

ROMANS 8:17

Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

And since we are his true children, we qualify to share all his treasures, for indeed, we are heirs of God himself. And since we are joined to Christ, we also inherit all that he is and all that he has! We will experience being co-glorified with him, provided we accept his sufferings as our own.

You, Lord, rule over the heavens and the earth.

You make all things by Your great power and keep them existing and working by Your mighty Word.

You are exalted high above.

Every star and galaxy in the cosmos, yet You are also “the God of all mankind,” the great, personally present, personally involved God who loves, rescues, and takes care of all who trust You.

You Are My Heart’s Desire

Dear Jesus,

You alone are my heart’s desire, my chief delight, my soul’s

Glory, joy, and crown. Every advantage life offers is rubbish compared to the overwhelming gain of knowing you. You are worthy, Lord—worthy to be thanked, praised, worshipped, and adored.

God has no limitations.

We have no limitations except ignorance, unbelief,

And flesh. Learn to renew your mind with God’s spirit truth

concerning favor with God and man.

God favors me today. God honors me today; I am a success today. I gave God’s special favor upon me today. He makes His face shine upon me today. He is gracious to me today. I am someone very special to the Lord.

The Wicked Slink Away

My Take

Psalm 112:7-8;10

They will not live in fear or dread of what may come,

or their hearts are firm, every foe until they all go in defeat.

Never stingy and always generous to those in need,

Their lives of influence and honor will never be forgotten,

For they were full of good deeds,

But the wicked take one look at a life lived like this

And they grit their teeth in anger, not understanding their bliss.

The wicked slink away speechless in the darkness that falls,

Where hope dies and all their dreams fade away to nothing,

Nothing at all!
