It is Finished

7 Apr

Odisha Ellis

It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the entire land until the ninth hour, because the sun stopped shining; and the veil of the temple was torn in two.  And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into Your hands I entrust My spirit.” And having said this, He died.  Luke 23:44-46

My thoughts

Every deity I have read of, required some sort of sacrifice to itself. A food offering, blood and some even human sacrifice.

Jesus became the sacrifice. For me, for you, for everyone. It’s up to each to decide if they will accept the sacrifice.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”

John 3:16-17
